Cloud migration — questions we get asked

Will cloud definitely be cheaper than our servers?

Not automatically, and we will say so if the numbers do not work. Cloud wins on resilience, elasticity, and avoided hardware refresh; it wins on raw cost when workloads are right-sized and idle capacity is switched off. The assessment gives you both numbers before you commit.

Can we keep some systems on-premise?

Yes. Hybrid is a legitimate end state, particularly where machinery, licensing, or latency ties a workload to a site. We design the connectivity and identity so both sides behave as one estate.

How much downtime does migration need?

For most workloads, a planned window of a few hours during a quiet period, using replication so the bulk of the data moves ahead of time. Some workloads migrate with no downtime at all. Every window is rehearsed first.

Which cloud provider do you recommend?

Whichever fits your workloads, your team's existing skills, and your commercial position. We have delivered on all three major providers and have no reseller incentive pointing us at one.
